Maryland State Police Forensic Science Laboratory is well-known for its unparalleled support to the entire Maryland police force. Their work is vital to first responders and government agents who use their research to solve difficult crimes, daily. In order to do their work, their facilities must be kept in peak condition. Recently, when they noticed a water leakage in their back parking lot, they took no chances of letting it get inside. They immediately called us for help.
Project Manager, Heath Wilkins knew exactly what to do when he arrived at the scene. As the parking lot continued to flood, Wilkins opened up manholes and looked over blueprints to find the problem. In doing so, he found a rupture in the lab’s main stormwater discharge line. Turns out, the line had been installed at the wrong angle. As soon as suggestions were made to fix it, the LB&B team got to work. Since it is not clear whether the leak happened at once or over time, we installed two flexible couplings together to take its place. With these two couplings working in tandem, we are positive that this parking lot will be leak free for years to come.
