COLUMBIA, MARYLAND: LB&B Associates Inc., the diversified services company operating in over twenty five states, the District of Columbia, and overseas locations, announces that it has been awarded a task order under the FTSS III contract to provide Contractor Operations and Maintenance Services (COMS) for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Simulator Program.
LB&B Associates Inc. will initially provide these services at the 32nd Street Naval Station on the “Dry Side” of the naval base, and at ASW Base Point Loma, in San Diego, CA.
Relocation of Littoral Combat Ship Simulators Also Included in the Contract
During Fiscal Year 2016, LB&B will be tasked with relocation of the current Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Simulators from both locations to the new Littoral Combat Facility (LCF) at the 32nd Street Naval Station on the “Wet Side” of the naval base.
In addition, LB&B Associates Inc. will also be responsible for maintenance and support of several additional new LCF simulators now being installed by other government contractors.
During Fiscal Years 2017-2018, LB&B Associates Inc. will phase in a new LCS COMS facility located at the Mayport, Florida Naval Station Mayport.
This Contract is the Third Task Order Awarded LB&B
The LCS COMS contract is the third such task order awarded to LB&B under the FTSS III contract. Previous awards include providing Contractor Instructor Services Pacific (CIS-PAC), serving NAS Whidbey Island, Washington State, and NS North Island, San Diego, California; and providing Navigational Seamanship Ship-Handling Training (NSST) Contractor Instructor Services for all US Navy surface ships at nine different locations around the globe.
