Every day our staff strives to perform above and beyond customer expectations. The following are comments we received from our customers about providing outstanding service.
I would like to take a few minutes to commend Ms. Kim LeClerc for her exceptional work ethic and her extraordinary contribution to the accomplishment of our mission to fuel the Fleet! Kim is our most visible customer-facing representative, who routinely goes above and beyond what would normally be expected of an employee and clearly takes pride in all that she does. While her job description as a scheduler/dispatcher sounds simple, it is anything but easy. She works with government personnel, MSC, ships, and contracted providers to make the schedules work seamlessly to meet a myriad of conflicting requirements, ultimately providing outstanding fuel support to the warfighters!
A great example of her work ethic, pride and expertise was a recent fueling evolution on USS WASP (LHD-1) after a lengthy yard period. Kim patiently walked the MPA through the process, explaining not only the scheduling but the documents required for the fueling. The MPA was so impressed he personally reached out to commend Kim for her professionalism and can-do spirit. FLC Norfolk Fuel Department is a customer-oriented organization that exists only to support the Fleet. Kim is often the point of entry for that customer interaction and is the perfect manifestation of the customer service we strive for every day. Kim’s personal expectations are set very high and she consistently meets them! She is a credit to LB&B and makes a positive impact on our mission of providing fuel to the warfighters every day. Please pass my personal thanks to Ms. LeClerc for a job extremely well done!

Thanks Gene for the quick time change for the fuel job for VMGR-352. Also, wanted to pass along the crew of Navy Gulfstream 093 mentioned the fueling job on March 20 was the fastest service they ever received. Aircraft just shutdown engines and five seconds later…the fuel truck was in position.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your outstanding performance while assigned to the Fueling Support Team for Commander, Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing, Pacific on February 20, 2016. Your demonstration of exceptional skill, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail were key to the safe and expeditious fueling of our San Diego Convention Center static display aircraft. Your impressive efforts ensured U.S. Navy support of AFCEA West 2016 and in the safe return of Magician Three Zero to Naval Air Station North Island. In recognition of your performance, it is significant to note your contributions. The superb manner in which you completed your work with the Fueling Support Team was truly exemplary. Thank you and “Brave Zulu” for a job well done!
Commander S. A. Perrella, Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing Pacific, Department of the Navy
I would like to take a few minutes to commend Mr. Omar Jones and Mr. Levar Sykes for their exceptional work ethic and extraordinary contribution to the accomplishment of our mission to fuel the Fleet! Both Omar and Levar were recently recognized by the MPA on USS WASP (LHD-1) for their exceptional pride and professionalism during a recent fueling evolution. Following a prolonged maintenance period, Mr. Jones and Mr. Sykes calmly and knowledgeably assisted WASP personnel in working through the process of YON pier side refueling, resulting in WASP receiving their required fuel in a safe, efficient manner. This support to WASP is but one example of what these two individuals and this team does many times every day — provide superior fuel support to the Fleet! Omar and Levar are a credit to LB&B and make a positive impact on our mission of providing fuel to the warfighters every day! Please pass my personal thanks to both Mr. Jones and Mr. Sykes for a job extremely well done!

I know LB&B is paid to do this (fix our problems), but I wanted to thank you and your team for jumping through a lot of hoops and working around many other issues to help NARA get the Auditorium completed on time for the Archivist’s Award Ceremony. The event went off without any problems. I do not believe people would believe it if they saw the mess in the auditorium just a week or so before the event. Anyway, thanks to you and your crew. You make my life a little easier.
