LB&B Helps US Navy Ship Avoid Disaster at Sea

As seen on all major news networks in June of 2019, a Russian Destroyer made a dangerous maneuver towards the US Navy Ship USS Chancellorsville while on normal deployment. The Commanding Officer of the Chancellorsville ordered his engines all back full to avoid a collision.

The maneuver that the Chancellorsville executed was a maneuver that was taught by a LB&B Navigational Seamanship Ship Handling Instructor. The maneuver was taught and practiced several times in the simulator in case such an emergency maneuver was ever needed in a real-world scenario.

LB&B is very proud to be the contractor which teaches such valuable lessons to our US Navy customers. We are extremely happy that our training assisted in avoiding what could have been a disaster.
