LB&B Team Wins Award for Exceptional Support

February 12, 2018, San Diego: LB&B Associates Inc. is proud to recognize it’s Operations Team stationed at the Naval Air Station Fallon.

LB&B has had a team at NAS Fallon since 2001. They have always fulfilled the sometimes unsung, but always critical role of fueling aircraft at the base – whether they are Fighter Pilot Training aircraft, military transport or visiting dignitaries, the team has kept daily as well as emergency fueling operations running smoothly.

This past summer, NAS Fallon Fuels Division was named the winner of the American Petroleum Institute’s “Navy Retail Fuel Activity of the Year” for their activities during 2016, and the LB&B team played a central role.

As reported on the Navy website: During the award period, the NAS Fallon fuels division provided exceptional support to nine Carrier Air Wings and Strike Fighter Advanced Readiness Program detachments, three Top Gun classes, the Naval Air Warfare Development Center and an independent squadron deployment, executing fuel support missions for 25,527 aircraft. To sum it up, the 24-person team distributed more than 29 million gallons of fuel to the Navy’s winged warfighters without a single spill, and with a nine-minute average response time.

“The hard work and dedication from every member of this team, including a great amount on behalf of the contractor, is what really has brought us this far,” said Henry Nusi, fuels facility manager at Fallon. “We are here to support the warfighting efforts of the squadrons that come here to train in preparation for deployments, in addition to supporting Top Gun classes made up of some of the best pilots in the world. That is not insignificant work.”

Rick Franz, Executive Senior VP at LB&B Associates, was delighted at the news saying, “We are so proud of our team at Fallon and offer our sincere congratulations. They perfectly exemplify the commitment to excellence that LB&B brings to every project and we are extremely pleased that they have been recognized this way.”

Robert Huston, Project Manager for the Fallon Fuels team responded, “This is a group of committed professionals who understand that their job may usually be behind the scenes, but it is essential to the efficient and safe operations here, and we are proud to do it alongside the men and women who serve in the military.”

The entire LB&B executive team congratulates the LB&B team at Fallon and thanks them for exemplifying the standards of excellence that LB&B has learned to expect from all of our associates and employees.
