Brekford Sells LB&B Its Vehicle Services Business

Brekford Corporation, a leading public safety and security technology service provider of fully integrated automated traffic safety enforcement solutions, and end-to-end suite of technology solutions for public safety vehicles and mobile workers, sold an 80.1 percent stake in its vehicle services business to LB&B. The sale was final on February 28, 2017.

The new entity will be called Global Public Safety, LLC (GPS). Executive Senior Vice President of LB&B Mr. Rick Franz stated, “LB&B is excited to sign this agreement with Brekford, and we are looking forward to expanding Global Public Safety, LLC as a nationally recognized leader in vehicle upfitting for Federal and local law enforcement, first responders, and public safety agencies. We have a longstanding history of serving government agencies, and the acquisition of GPS will serve as a source of future growth. We also look forward to working with the Brekford management team.”

Global Public Safety, LLC is dedicated to providing and installing equipment that ensures safe and efficient vehicles while incorporating the latest technological advances. GPS provides and installs most major brands of law enforcement, security, and public safety vehicle equipment to include mobile computing and communications technology such as Mobile Electronic Ticketing Systems, Fleet Management Systems, Crimeview Dashboards, Mobile Data Equipment Mounting Systems, Rugged Mobile Digital Video Systems, Automatic License Plate Readers, Body Cameras, Toughbooks and Toughpads, and more. GPS will be a one-stop provider and installer for all types of vehicle public safety equipment. GPS will be managed by Mr. Bill Shafley. We want to welcome the Brekford employees to GPS.
