COLUMBIA, MARYLAND: LB&B Associates Inc., the diversified services company operating in over twenty five states, the District of Columbia, and overseas locations, announces that on January 26, 2017, the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Orlando, Florida, awarded it and its subcontractor Anchor Innovations the re-compete task order under the FTSS III Contract for Navigational Seamanship Ship-Handling, Contractor Instructor Services (NSS CIS).
This award is the second subsequent award for a total of 10 years of services. The instructors use Polaris V-2 and COVE III Full Mission Bridge and Bridge Wing simulators and classrooms to train each ship’s bridge and navigation watch teams. The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Instructors utilize Bridge Part Task Trainers to train both LCS-1 and LCS-2 variant ships for the LCS Junior Officer and Officer of the Deck Courses.
The training that LB&B Associates Inc. and Anchor Innovations instructors provide is based on the needs of each type of ship, on the needs of the Pacific and Atlantic Surface Force Commanders, and on the needs of the Surface Warfare Officer School requirements. The locations for which this contract applies include Naval Base San Diego, CA; Naval Station Everett, WA; Naval Station Pearl Harbor, HI; Naval Station Yokosuka, Japan; Naval Station Sasebo, Japan; Naval Station Norfolk, VA; Naval Station Mayport, VA; Naval Station Newport, RI; Fleet Support Activity, Bahrain; and Naval Station Rota, Spain.
